| Homemaking in the Dunes Dec 3 | I always read on road trips. Ironically, I was reading this book on the anniversary date of my father's death. Hospice was so vital to our family when my father was ill. The stories in this book show the hopes, struggles, and sometimes, joys that come in the dying process. Hadley recounted her own grief when her mother was dying from brain cancer. Her mother had many wigs, Hadley was approached by another nurse who had request from a young mother who needed nice wigs to look like herself for her children in day to day life and in photos. Hadley brought her mother-inlaws wigs for the young mother to try on and Hadley could see the life coming back to this young mother. I was in tears for most of this book. I walked into several gas stations red-eyed. | | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
