The tree's somewhere in a box,
The train won't run, it just flops...
Little else is squared,
He's unprepared
Hasn't even watched the Boston Pops!
-
For Christmas, I.O.U.s,
For gifts he'll have to use...
No shopping for him,
Financially grim---
The offer he couldn't refuse!
-
And after Christmas, what then,
A joy to his heart will come in....
But carefully
He'll have to be
On his best behavior then!
-
For his wife, she wants more clothes,
With money he can get those....
On Christmas Day
With her he'll stay,
He's the thorn---she's the rose!
-
But he can't find those Christmas cards,
He bought---where they are looms large---
He's mailed out none
With no Christmas fun,
No money with which he can charge!
