Since I've started blogging, at the end of calendar year I normally do a blogging year review to see my progress, to compare the previous years to the last year, and to see my areas to improve on. Truthfully, 2023 is my worst blogging year to date.
THE STATISTICS
I have a full breakdown of the statistics from 2020 to 2022 in the "2022 Blogging Year In Review" post. Just to recap the figures, in 2020 I received 1,755 views from 952 visitors with 235 likes and 48 comments. For 2021 there was almost double the growth with 2,691 views from 1,431 visitors with 749 likes and 186 comments and 2022 saw me with 3,195 views from 1,785 views with 922 likes and 289 comments.
The crazy thing is, 2022 I blogged way less than 2021 but still saw growth in my blog in terms of traffic and engagement. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for 2023 even though I shared about the same amount of posts in 2022 and 2023. For 2023 I had 1,962 views from 1,104 visitors with 595 likes and 156 comments.
MOST VIEWED BLOG POSTS OF 2023
The three most viewed blog posts of 2023 are My Journey To Fertility: Decisions, Decisions with 102 views. Coming in second is I Am Giving Up Blogging with 79 views and third is My Journey To Fertility: The Introduction with 73 views.
STILL THANKFUL
Even though 2023 was not the blogging year I envisioned for myself, I am still very much thankful that I even have a blogging year to review considering how many times I contemplated giving up blogging totally. There has also been a lot going on in my personal life which began to impact other areas of my life and it's only in this last quarter did I really start to get a handle on things. I am excited for the 2024 blogging year and to see where this year takes me and other bloggers.
