One of the greatest benefits of the Truth we have in Christ Jesus is assurance, of being made right with God. Hebrews 11 Verse 1: "Faith is the confidence that we hope for will happen; it gives us assurance about the things we cannot see". {NLT}
We can know in our hearts that our standing with God does not depend on us but on Christ Jesus and what He has accomplished for us. What a wonderful and extraordinary relief this is!
Romans 8 Verse 1: "Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us".
A relationship of separation because of our sin, has now been changed to a
wonderful relationship of friendship, understanding and peace, which provides
us with considerable assurance and peace of mind. We can also live with the
wonderful assurance and relief, that we will not face God's outpouring of
wrath, on the day of judgement. Christ Jesus paid, that debt for us to escape
on our behalf.
As a wonderful old song says: "Jesus paid a debt He did not owe, He paid a debt
I could not pay, to wash our sins away". to restore us to right standing with
God The Father.
The beauty of what Christ Jesus did for any 'whosoever' John 3 verse 16:
So what do we need to prove to God so that He will accept us?
Absolutely Nothing! God excepts us on the basis of a relationship with His Son
Christ Jesus, who proved everything.
"Amazing love how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me"
