The Department for Work and Pensions is holding two autism awareness sessions, delivered by Ambitious about Autism and the National Autistic Society. These sessions are aimed at anybody who could be working with individuals with autism. Suggested attendance could be managers / HR / diversity and Inclusion colleagues.
Attendees will gain an awareness of autism and some practical steps that organisations can take to become more autism inclusive organisations.
Please note this is a 2 hour time commitment as individuals should attend both dates and register using both links below. These sessions will take place online using Microsoft Teams.
Session 1: Weds 14 February from 2pm-3pm (delivered by Ambitious about Autism)

- Identifying suitable roles, team stability, supportive line manager practices, working environment, flexible working options
- Adaptations to the recruitment process - autism friendly job adverts and interview and assessment processes

- Reasonable adjustment/in work support
- Advice and support for line managers
