Having managed to dodge the Covid bullet for over a year, I was not so lucky last week.
And, back to isolation I went.
While nursing a very mild and unremarkable Covid Round 2, I embraced the solitude of isolation and discovered a few remarkable gems of note.
Keeping Routine
Routine, as they say is a pathway to freedom.
To ensure I did not slip slide into idleness, I kept to a daily routine which was not much different from the routine I had when well. Exceptions were given to more sleep ins on some days when the nights were rough.
I kept a routine of strict flexibility with the freedom to change my routine to accommodate the needs of my body as it fought the virus, but still maintain the overall balance.
Keeping Entertained
What is life without a bit of entertainment?
This, too, was part of the routine once all the other must-dos were completed. I have also found that my taste in entertainment switches genre when I am sick as compared to when I am well.
Movies showcasing the great endurance of the human spirit, or documentaries, helps the time pass, well spent, with a few life lessons thrown in, too.
Hobbies Count
Nothing whiles away time than hobbies, whether you try your hand at something new or fall back on your time worn ones.
Everyone should have a slew of hobbies to spend their time on they are so good for our personal development.
I must have stitched a storm in the last 7 days, and read a good many books.
Today is my first day out of isolation and while I am happy to be out and about, I have to admit that the past 7 days have been great!
