I haven't done this in a while, but sometimes it is so obvious that God is speaking and wants me to share what he is saying. All the blog posts quoted below were in my inbox this morning. If you are on a rough road right now, remember the Lord is there with you, leading you, he has already planned for every enemy to submit, he is guiding you through every step of the way, he is leading you, he goes before and clears the way. Praise him! And look for his Presence.
"The times in our lives when we draw closest to God are usually times where we feel like we're going under and can't breathe. You are not necessarily off His path or out of His will when you experience these things. Don't look for blame in these moments. Instead, look for His presence. He is there leading you, guarding you and providing for you when the road gets rough. Your Promised Land is just ahead." -- Chris Hendrix, The Rough Road
Say to God, "How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power your enemies shall submit themselves to You. All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to You; they shall sing praises to Your name." Selah. Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. Psalm 66:3-5
"'Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You' (vs. 3b) encourages us to praise our God for the future He has already planned for every enemy to submit. A time when all the earth shall worship and sing praise to Him. Please note it does not say perhaps, maybe, possibly BUT shall worship, shall sing. The Psalmist encourages us to let our praise and worship be given on this day while we wait for THAT DAY!" -- Beholding Him Ministries, Make a Joyful Shout to God
"When life's challenges seem insurmountable, the Psalmist reminds us that our strength doesn't come from our own abilities, but from God Himself ... The hope we have in Jesus is not just wishful thinking, it's the anchor of our souls in the midst of life's storms. He is our rock, our fortress, and our deliverer. When we place our trust in Him, He guides us through every trial and tribulation. We don't have to rely on our own wisdom or strength to navigate life's challenges.
Instead, we can lean on Jesus, knowing that He has already overcome the world. As we surrender our lives to Him, He empowers us to walk in victory, no matter what circumstances we face.
Hold fast to the truth that we can trust in God's strength to sustain us and His faithfulness to keep our path secure. We can live in confident hope in the promise that Jesus is with us every step of the way." -- Mike Fisk, When I Feel Weak I am Strong
" ... remember God went before the people in a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, rather than showing them the way – He went first! It is the same with us; Jehovah Shamma is there before us. He leads us.
God led Israel in safety; He saved them from the Egyptian pursuers as the mighty waters of the Red Sea closed behind them over their enemies. They had nothing to fear. A good shepherd leads his flock away from danger, on a good path, and into good pasture. Our Father God does the same for us today; He leads us safely.
The Almighty led Israel to the land that He had promised; through the wilderness into a fruitful land for His children to prosper. He does the same for us; He leads us to His chosen place for us.
God does not lead His children to defeat; He leads them to victory over their enemies. He clears the way before them as a shepherd inspects the pasture before his flock is brought onto it. Each day we begin a new adventure as children of God; He leads us clearing the way for us." -- Alan Kearns, Jehovah Raah/Rohi – The Lord Is My Shepherd
The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the LORD at their head. Micah 2:13
