Sometimes it can feel like you're alone in this journey and no one else knows what you're going through. But recently I saw for myself that I am not the only person going through this and there are a lot of couples who are experiencing challenges in trying to conceive as well.
One reminder that I was not alone was when another blogger reached out to me and told me that she was came across this series and it inspired her to share her story as well. While I was sad that someone else was experiencing what I am going through, it reminded me that there are other people around the world going through this struggle.
Recently the Trinidad IVF and Fertility Centre hosted a fertility event that Kevin and I attended - mainly to see what they were offering, to learn more about our options, and get some of our questions hopefully answered. When we were walking towards the event I was thinking to myself what if it's just us and ten other couples, what if we are the only young couple there, what if people think we're too young to be considering fertility treatment.
And then we walked into a room filled with people. And more people came.
We aren't the only couple struggling with fertility issues.
We aren't the only young couple struggling with fertility issues.
We aren't too young to be considering fertility treatment.
If you are in the same situation as me, just remember that you are not alone.
