Even though today is the last day of January, I still want to post this month's verse and the above saying:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
As we begin the new year, let's allow ourselves to forgive our shortcomings, oversights, and pride and kneel in prayer with humble hearts seeking the Almighty God. Let our hearts be open to what God has in store for us and accept the things that we are unable to change. The only way to move forward is to leave the past in its place.
If you are curious about becoming anew, thumb through the Bible. This precious book tells beautiful stories of redemption, love, building of families and kingdoms, wars, trust, mercy, grace, and forgiveness.
The scriptures deliver an overall powerful renewal of faith- a closeness to God that is indescribable.
"I love to tell the story
Of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory,
Of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story,
Because I know 'tis true;"
Kate Hankey & William G. Fischer
May you find comfort in the scripture as I have. May 2024 be your year. "Give God the Glory!" as my sister would always say.
