| Homemaking in the Dunes Jan 14 | I have had this book on my KIndle for a while. This was a sad book. James McGreevey was the Governor of N.J. In 2004, he announced that he was a Gay American. He did so because not as aact of conscience, but, because he was being blackmailed by his boyfriend. One would think he would have treated his wife better for imploding the marriage. James had a lot of nerve to expect her to his Jackie Kennedy despite wallowing through the political muck. Both Jim and Dina were Roman Catholic. This is a very messy story. Dina found the outline of the book her husband was working on that addresses his desire to have her as a political wife, it doesn't speak of loving her. The first wife of James didn't know he was gay when he was married to her. James claims that DIna knew he was gay beofre they were married. She flatly denounced that claim. Were there red flag? Yes, having another woman ask Dina to marry him. His friendships with men were a bit odd, an example would be inviting a male friend on a romantic get away. He was always keeping secrets. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
