 | pacificnorthwestblogger Jan 19 | Hey Everyone! I was off of work for five days because of the weather. Though i only missed three actual shifts since my weekend was in there as well. I spent a couple hours Wednesday afternoon shoveling (or attempting to shovel) the icy driveway so I could get out yesterday morning. I went to work yesterday and today. The roads around me were worse yesterday and this morning. By the time I got off work today, the roads weren't bad. Further north, closer to the gorge, and in the hills are still having quite the time of it with ice. Where I am at and where I work are a bit more sheltered and closer to the southern end of the metro area. I have been doing a bit of grocery shopping for my parents since I have been back to work. Between the fact that I work at a grocery store right now, and I have a SUV that is All Wheel Drive (Not a subaru), Traction Control and new tires, I am trying to help take care of them while I still have them. Even though they would probably have been OK today going out, I figure why make them, when I am already out and at a grocery store. I am definitely at the point where I am ready to find a church of my own, as I left the one I was raised in a few years ago.
