Today's thrifty habit was making yogurt. I made 16 small jars and a quart from oat milk. We eat a lot of yougurt as part of breakfast and in "iceream". It is an excellent subsitute for sour cream and fruit dips. By making yogurt at home, I save at least 15.00 dollars on yogurt and sour cream alone. Not to mention the waste from the plastic containers.
I have switched my streaming around. We are doing Paramount Plus(paid by giftcard from surveys) and Netflix. Hulu is paid for until May 2025 from giftcards from surveys. So, we will start paying for Netflix again in March.
Soda stream continues to be a good value because I can make sparkling water. I wait until ACE hardware sends us coupons and I purchase the tanks. I end up getting 2 for the price of one.
Audible tries to keep you. I ended up getting 8 credits for 40. I listen to Audible books while I sleep and I use them in our homeschooling lessons.
I have been trying to grow my youtube channel. I have a hard time using my phone to make videos. I have a go-pro. I designed a necklace to hold my camers so that I can cook handoff. I didn't want to pay 36.00 for a collar cam. This brings us to frugality, spending money in mindful ways to spend money where it matters.
With the improvements, we have made to our heating system and insulation, we have whittled our nautral gas bill to 110 dollars a month during the winter. We are in talks to put up solar.
