I remember a time when church was a sacred place. There a shooting at the Joel Osteed church in Texas. There have been two many accounts of church shooting in the past decade. I don't care if it is a mega church, or what faith, a church is supposed to be a place of shelter for the soul. It is a place to gather and experience your faith.
The closest thing I have experienced to fear in church was I was attending a broken Baptist church. I was sitting in the middle pew with my children. They were young. The man behind us began screaming at the pastor. The ushers came and escorted him. I left with the children immediately through the side door. Later, I found out that the ushers prayed with him for hours.
It is heart-breaking to hear these stories. My prayers are with the people who experienced this.
