I struggled with being a grandparent at first. I had envisioned being a grandparent when I wasn't raising children. But, once again, God has a sense of humor that I don't often share, or I don't get the punch line. As a grandparent, your role is different than as a parent. As a grandparent, you know the lessons that both parent and child need to learn. The world can be a kind place, and a cruel place.
