What are the things that are wearing you down; criticism, disappointment, insults, hurt, loneliness, rejection, fear, abuse, broken relationships, grief and loss? Maybe someone you love is suffering and your heart aches heavy. Maybe your plans are not going as you thought they should. According to one person's count, there are 3573 promises in the Bible, and God keeps every single one of them. "Never to leave us nor forsake us. " Deuteronomy 31:6 "He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear." 1 Corinthians 10:13 "He will encourage your heart and strengthen you in every good deed and word. " 2 Thessalonians 2:17 and many others. In those times when our life looks like it's a shambles, it may help us to remember that we are not looking at the finished product, instead we are somewhere in the middle where life is just a little messy at the moment; God is still at work.He will finish the work He started.
Heavenly Father, please give us the faith to trust you when life is messy and chaotic. Give us eyes to see glimpses of your fabulous work you are doing in us, and the world around us.
