Loved getting away. The sea
was green and clear, the sand was in my toes,
clothes, shoes.
I loved the easy tenor of the mornings which slipped
silently into the afternoons. Children happy, books
aplenty and the grown ups visibly letting go.
The last three days were full of metacognition...a change of pace and place.Thinking
about my own learning, reflecting, making adjustments, unlearning and relearning.
Recognizing that there are, indeed, miles to go before I sleep.
But now I am back home. Safely ensconced with my own. The cats are purring in the
quiet hum of a Saturday afternoon as
I potter and organize dinner and ground myself back home.
Before we start again.
At full speed.
