Faith In Action Trial and Temptations.
From book of James.
Outlook determines outcome, and attention determines action.
The believer who expects the Christian life to be easy is in for a shock.
If we value comfort more than character, than character, then trials will upset us,
If we value material and physical more than the spiritual, we will not be able to consider trouble as an opportunity for great joy.
James 1 verse 2 to 4: V2: "Consider it great joy my brothers {and Sisters}, when ever you experience various trials".
V3: "knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance".
V4: "But endurances must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing".
Though testing Our Lord and Our Friend wants to produce in us patience, endurance, and the ability to keep going when things are tough. In the Bible endurance is not a passive acceptance of circumstances.
It is a courageous perseverance in the face of difficulties. Endurance can not be obtained in reading a book, listening to a sermon, or even in praying a scripted prayer.
Trusting Our Lord and Our Friend will bring us through, the result will be endurance and character.
Trusting Our Lord and Our Friend to be with us through difficulties, will bring satisfaction in knowing the end result will bring Glory to Him.
God Bless.
