It's… | dep31 March 4 | The garden is still asleep, but the groundwork for spring has begun. The hens have been moved back into the pasture. They spent the first half of winter in the half the garden you see here; the second half, they spent on the other side. It's been nearly three months since they were on this side, so it's been long enough for any bacteria they deposited to have run their course. Once the compost pile has been opened and distributed, we'll be able to establish a couple of rows of cool weather vegetables, for our early spring greens.
