I just wondered how long we were all going to hear about PENSION TRIPLE LOCK again. Having been promised not once, not twice but now three times that us Senior Citizens can have lots of money, that is rightfully ours in the first place, according to Doris Johnson word's of wisdom, only to have this promise snatched away by a lame excuse.
It is surprising what people will promise to get votes! Just received a flyer that normally would make my heart sing with the promising headlines that everything is cosy and going the right way – for whom I have to ask? We are all being attacked two ways from the Dailies with banner headlines PENSION TRIPLE LOCK WILL BE IN TORY MANIFESTO! States Risky Sunhat.
Funnily enough if my memory serves me correctly, this has been in the TORY MANIFESTO PROMISES since the Tories first promised to serve the people of this country. Now if Risky Sunhat was to pay the Pension Triple Lock first before the GENERAL ELECTION I could honestly believe he means what he says.
We have had the wool pulled over our eyes so many times by this government it is just unbelievable what he will promise to get voted back to govern.
The local representative has come up with an Economy News Flyer with a photograph of six men repairing a hole in the road and it is no wonder our economy is bursting at the seams when it takes so many people to repair one hole. In my day if a road had a hole in it, which was rare, it took one man in charge of the tar making machine, one man to fill the hole in and one man driving a steamroller! Job done!
Of course we all know this is a gimmick, ploy or whatever you would like to call it to ultimately get your votes. Forget what this government has done to some of you, your lives turned upside down by lies and deceit, especially when you couldn't attend a funeral for your love-one because of the pandemic of Covid-19. You couldn't meet as a group and you were fined heavily by the police if you did. You couldn't go out or drive anywhere. DORIS was in charge and made all the rules and regulations and these same people who made the rules and regulations had parties, gatherings and even had a party the night before the Duke of Edinburgh Funeral day. Some MP's actually went out and drove many miles to meet other people. Apologies are not enough when you think of how many people died.
It seems that government and local MP's seemed to lose sight of all these atrocities that have occurred and they have swept all of these under the proverbial carpets, hoping people will forget what they have done.
The one thing that caught my eye with this flyer was the headline: "Growing Local Economy Through Stronger Transport Links – Road, Rail & Air." Shouldn't that read Rail only? There isn't an Airport near enough and all the roads are too dangerous to drive on! Promises! Promises!
Names have been changed to protect the GUILTY!
The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so! Swear words are not accepted.
