Yesterday I tried to exercise on the treadmill. That didn't go well, with my chronic dizziness. Today I decided to do a thorough housecleaning as my exercise. We have three pets, who shed all year round, but I've been noticing a ramping up of the hair output just recently, probably because of the mild winter we've had. The dreaded spring shedding explosion is upon us already! Today I emptied 4 dirt canisters full (not that my canister is ever jam-packed full, but the cat hair kept climbing above the official "fill line."
We cover our couch with a blanket to protect it. Before I put that blanket in the washer, I always get my husband to help me shake it out. That causes a pet hair storm in the back yard, but keeps the hair from coating my washing machine. This was the amount of hair I found in the dryer lint catcher.
It's a good thing my Boyzees are such good snugglers, and are also very sweet and funny. I'd be lost without them, so I put up with the fur, vacuuming often, and keeping plenty of lint rollers in stock. When the weather gets warmer, I'll be taking the cats outside and using the furminator on both of them. Wow, does that thing get the hair off, and my cats actually like to be brushed! Afterwards, our front yard looks like a crazy cat fight took place.
So, now that I have the satisfaction of a clean house, at least for the next two days, it's time to watch a bit more of the Chosen. Now that I'm "back in," I'm being reminded of how awesome it is, so very well done! And, I plan to stay on track from now on. It's the perfect series to watch during Lent, that's for sure.
And, if you're looking for something else to add to your spiritual life, do a search for Cardinal Raymond Burke's worldwide 9 month Novena to the Blessed Mother. It's called "Return to Our Mother. (I tried to share a link on this post, but couldn't figure out how to do that 🙄) Anyway, this is an opportunity to change our world through prayer. The Blessed Mother has brought about miracles before, through her powerful intercession, and she can do it again! Another good way to ramp up your Lent (and beyond!)
