My big sewing machine is due for a good service! How do I know? My bobbin case isn't working properly, and it won't sew right now. It says the bobbin door isn't closed when it is, so we think it's a sensor and nothing more serious!
After a thorough clean and oil, it still isn't working as intended, so it will be going to the shop as soon as we can plan a trip down to the shop where I bought it, a four-hour drive from here. Loving Stitches really does have the best tech team, so it's worth the extra effort!
In the meantime, I'm working on a handwork project and a few other things. I'm loving the sourdough starter and the few things I know how to bake with it! I'm enjoying crochet a little. And also, hand quilting a wall hanging!
The simple rhythms of life are happening in the background here. Dishes and laundry. Cleaning and meals. Serving my sweet family in the ways they need me. I'm also getting a little exercise and eating healthy these days. I'm grateful to have simplified my project list and kind of let myself off the hook for producing so many quilts. I love the slower pace, both for my creativity and for the sake of my full linen closet! I will soon need to address the areas of my home that have clutter problems. That may be a summer task!
What have you been up to? Does a sewing machine that needs service make you think of other tasks that might get done during that time? =}
