Several times in the last month, I have had my comments removed from the commentary that were deemed inappropriate. True crime interests me. Yesterday, I was engaged in a commentary about a same-sex couple going through a custody battle. One of the husbands had murdered someone. The other husband was aware of that murder occurred. When the marriage soured, the husband turned his husband in. One of the commenters wrote that he couldn't wrap his head around the situation having grown up in the 1950's. My comment: No, you would haven't have heard about same-sex relationships in common areas for a few reasons. One reason homosexuality was considered deviant until the 1970's. It was labled as such in DSM until 1973. The second reason is same-sex marriage didn't exist. The third reason is if you grew up in the bible-belt area , none of things would have been discussed at the dinner table. My thoughts on the custody issues it says alot about the husband's character. He married a man and had children with him knowing he had murdered a man. He turned him in when it fit his moral narrative and he could use it to turn around his divorce and custody case. There is nothing homophoic or hateful about my statement, it is BASED ON fact on what society was like. I do have a Master's degree in Psychology. What I suspect is a BOT is screening comments and the word deviant was picked up out of context. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
