We had such a wonderful day at Bonnet Springs Park in Lakeland, Florida! This is by far the nicest and largest park I remember visiting in my life. Except for the children's museum, on-site restaurants, and event center rental, everything in the park is free to use.
Accessibility
Walkways are paved. Hills are gradual. Restrooms I visited are all-gender single occupant, accessible restrooms. Most restrooms also made baby changing as easy as possible. Every building had at least one bathroom. All water fountains were accessible. The binoculars for viewing from the accessible tree house were also made with our friends using wheelchairs in mind. The nature center had visuals at every height but most interactive exhibits were at wheelchair accessible levels. This also made it kid-friendly and stroller-friendly.
Pet Friendly
This park was made for our furry friends to join in the fun. Most water fountains had a doggy fountain at the bottom. There was plenty of shade and room to spread out.
Wide open spaces!
This former train yard was full of people and their pets, but I never once felt crowded outside. The nature center was a little crowded, but there was still plenty of space to get around and experience everything with zero stress. This park is just massive! There really is no reason to miss this park if you are in or near the Lakeland area!
