One of the things I hear other homemakers struggling with is keeping their home together. I worked in social services for many years, I have seen homemakers at every income struggle with their homemaking. I really believe that creating a loving, joyful structured home is one of the most loving gifts we give our families and our guests. You may raise an eyebrow about joyful and structured. Structure is the foundation of creating balance. Activities planned, supplies stocked, meals planned, cleaning and organizing completed, family obligations structured creates far more time for family to come together. A mother who is not stressed out with the running of the home is not intuned to her family's needs.
Every night after dinner, I spent 30 minutes dusting, sweeping, mopping, and doing the main bathrooms. I run the dishwasher. These few minutes I spend set the day up for the next day.
In the mornings, I wash the clothes and hang them out. I sweep the porches. Homeschooling is winding down for the year. My job allows me to work when I want to. I usually work in the morning 4-8 4 days a week.
Mondays are my one hour clean day. I am never more than 20 minutes away from company ready. I always wear dresses and skirts. If I am having a long day, I will wrap my hair so it comes together in spiral curls. Magnetic lashes and a lipstick that is the exact color of your pinched ringer finger. You will always look your best. If you can afford a weekly bouquet of flowers or grow them with in your garden, lovely music, and yummy offerings can make a humble home so inviting.
