These are the days of our livesš¤£
For any of my old school soap opera watchers, you know exactly what I did there!
Welp, it's official. We are homeless! As of 4:00pm central standard time standard time, our house in Indiana is officially sold. Disser Manor is now someone else's playground.
It's a little bittersweet. We went through 76 houses before we picked that house. 76. No joke. And it was ugly lol. But it was ours. We painted every room. Some twice. Other three times! Tore out a terrarium and wet bar. Added a fourth bedroom.
Hosted family thanksgivings with 40+ people in attendance. Watched countless Christmas gifts exchanged in that living room. Had 130 people chilling in the backyard for the annual summer party. There were sleepovers and birthday parties. Tears of joy and sorrow. Loads and loads and loads of laughter. We like to have fun as a crew.
And now, life has closed that chapter. I'll miss how close we were to some of our kiddos. No more Friday night movie nights where the grandson uses us all as his personal jungle gym. No more surprise treats from our sweet neighbor with a penchant cooking delicious foods and sending them our way. sigh.
But, don't cry for me…Alabama.
We are in the process of purchasing our own piece of life right here in our new town. Lord willing and the creek don't rise, we will have a new place to pay our heads by the end of the month.
It's been a wild ride and it's only just begun!
When one door closes…
