Frugality is using your resources to live your best life. There are so many ways to save day to day,
Beauty :
I always get a blow out when shopping for a new stylist. Wear your hair and be honest what you do to it. If you really need a wash and wear cut, say so. Learn to style your hair in the time you have to do it. Learn styles you like to take to from work. PTA, wedding and dinner out with your husband. I can do a culry updo that would cost me 75 dollars. I do spiral curls, flat iron, and the bun.
Learn to make do with less beauty products. I save 400 dollars a year by isong coconut oil. I use cocount oil for shampoo(as an ingredient) makeup remover, deep hair treatment, and lotion.
Witch hazel and aloe is a great toner. I keep this in spray bottle.
Reducing your makeup steps. Good skin care will reduce the need for foundation. I wear mineral powder, magnetic lashes, eyeliner, and lipstick for everyday. Special events, I add eyeshadow and blush. I save hundreeds a year with these methods.
Face masks can be purchased in packets for 3.00 for one use. I can make a fesh mask for 25 cents a use.
My favorite perfumes are Chanel number 5 anf Clinique Happy. I have made homemade perfumes that smell the safe for 1/4 of the price.
Body scrub: brown sugar, coconut and vanilla extract makes an effective scrub.
Body brushing is a 5 dollar brush that can improve your skin health.
Children :
Clothing and shoes are a big budget buster. TJ Maxx and Marshall have great deals. Clearance is your best friend.

Mom friends
Teens
Clothing with teens is tricky. Our daughter has quirky tastes, she enjoys handmade clothing because her firends do not have the same items. We often do to the mall to come up with new ideas.
Gardening
Ideally, you have composting all year. You can create beautiful soil enhancers. I bury paper rolls in our garden when we turn our raised beds over for Spring planting.
Coffee ground are wonderful for tomato plants.
Grow plants form seeds rather than buying plants. Save your seeds from year to year.
Grow ticket plants, the pricey salad greens and herbs.
buy soil and mulch in bulk to save.
Sell or trade your garden extras.
Day lilies will spread. I thin mine out every three years and trade with neighbors for Russian Sage.
Having a yard that attract helpful insect and pollinators . Plant flowering chives, yarrow, and bee balm.
Companion planting parsely and cilantro. Flowering planting like calendula, nasturtiums, and marigolds bring in hoverflies, parastic wasps, and other insects that will eat pests.
I make marigold tea to spray over my gardens to stave off pests.
If your library offers seeds for free, scoop them up.
