I've tried many of them, especially the laundry sheets, which I love for travel and convenience. However, sometimes you just want a clean, but inexpensive option! This is clean, easy, and cheap! Laundry Powder 1 box of borax 1 box of washing soda 1 grated bar of soap Mix well and store. Use 1 tablespoon! Notes: Borax and Arm and Hammer washing soda can be found in the laundry aisle at Walmart. The soap bar brand isn't super important. In fact, we've used leftover bits of soap from the bath, grated to be useful again! If you want your laundry powder super clean, use organic soap or something like Ivory which has no dyes. Zote soap is nice, as is Fels Naptha. If you want to add essential oils or scent beads, you can. I tend to keep it simple but add essential oils to my wool dryer balls. I would not use bleach with this recipe, as it can turn white clothes grey due to borax. Mix in a large tub! My metal container with scoop is handy and came from TJ Maxx, but Amazon has them as well. This recipe makes six months to a year's worth of laundry powder! Happy Clothes Washing! Stacy | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
