Political and religious belief are one of the many things that shape a person's view of the world. If we took the time to listen to each other and to understand why other believe the way they do. I live in one of the most conservative areas I have ever lived and I am considered conservative. I have had many conversations with my fundamentalist neighbors. They will quote scripture to prove their points. Regardless of what religion you practice, whatever the depth of your faith, the bible in ancient times was meant to be a holy book of how to live based on the knowledge of the time. I explained to our daughter (who is going through a doubtful stage) that the bible dictated laws, lifestyle, morality, family life, and justice. Restorationist groups come to my door every few months vangelizing and proselytizing. As I have written before that I find these groups interesting to talk to. I have read the The Book of Mormon, several books on Jehovah's witnessess. Last night, the Mormons stopped by. We were on the porch having dinner. I have a new addition to our porch living room. All of my religious and political books are on a book shelf for our guests to enjoy. I keep a journal for people to write their thoughts down. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
