In keeping my 2024 theme of reset and grow and accepting that it's okay to tweak plans to suit my current reality, I've decided to do a little quarterly update on how my 2024 goals are going thus far.
So far I've completed three out of twenty goals for 2024. The goal I am most proud of achieving is learning one new work related skill. While this meant adding a new task to my current duties, it allowed me to further develop my investigative skills and deepen my understanding of one aspect of my job.
The second goal that I am also proud of achieving is driving and filling gas by myself. Now this will be a simple, easy, mundane task for everyone but I hate driving, especially after spending four plus hours in traffic on a daily basis and I'm Kevin's spoiled passenger princess who never had to fill her own gas. However, last year December I decided I really do need to learn to fill my gas and make the drive - small steps in overcoming my fear of driving and getting more comfortable with the road.
The third goal is maintaining my skin care routine. I am 31 and as much as I believe in my head that I'm 24, having a good skin care routine and maintaining said routine is crucial. I've been pretty hit and miss with my skin care routine last year but this year I've maintained my routine consistently for the last three months.
Overall, 3 goals for the first three months of 2024 isn't bad. I have 17 more goals to go, 4 of which are driving related. The driving related goals are the goals I want to pay more attention to for the next 6 months so I can achieve my overall end goal of being able to drive myself anywhere. I will post another update at the end of June, but in the meantime, feel free to let me know in the comments how your goals are coming along.
