If this is your day for rest,like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wondeful verse from Revelation 19 Verse 6:
Revelation 19 Verse 6: {KJV}: " I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, as and the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thundering , saying, Alleluia for the Lord God omnipotent reigns".
A German born, English composer George Frederic Handel [1685 -1759}
Handel composed many operas and organ concertos. {a musical work involving an orchestra, choir and soloists} are taken from the Bible, his friend Charles Jennens wrote the text which he based on the King James Version.
Par2 of three part oratorio ends with "Hallelujah" a rousing chorus composed of text from Revelation 19 verse 4, 6, 16 and Revelation 11 verse 15:
Hallelujah for the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth.
The Kingdom of this world is become the kingdom of Our Lord and of His Christ
and He shall reign for ever and ever.
King of Kings and Lord of Lord.
I myself don't listen to much opera, but reading the story of Frederic Handel and His composing of the 'Messiah'. I felt compelled to listen.
In one part it says, 'Rejoice, rejoice', and it was at that point, i became stirred to wave my arms around to the music like a conductor of the orchestra. The great faith that was being spoken {Sung}.
Then I understood more, why 'Rejoice' , because as believers we have a reason to 'Rejoice, a reason the world will never really understand.
"Hallelujah" [an exclamation of praise to God}. and why because Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend we serve, is Omnipotent {all Powerful} Reigns
And His Words were, Hebrews 13 Verse 4: "I will never leave you or forsake you"
Just as the composer George Handel found and wrote about,' Rejoice' because of that promise to us.
