We headed to Sam's Club because my wedding ring set needed to be repaired. I am glad it was under warranty or the repair would have been over 600. We spent 278 dollars on 2 cleaners I do not buy, dog food, soil, and produce. We went to Sprouts for dry bulk goods for 106 dollars.
We stopped by a giveaway from estate sale that was advertised on Facebook Marketplace. We also stopped by vison works to pick up the kids' sunglasses. Living in Colorado, it is imperative to wear sunglasses. Light eyes require protective sunglasses. I make long trips multiple errands to save time and fuel costs.
What I picked up at the estate sale:
canning equipment
canner
60 bolts of fabric
100 skeins of yarn
4 pairs of skis and poles
4 hummingbird feeder
2 sets of windchimes
pool pump
6 new sleeping bags
We were requested ahead of time to pick which items we would take. You had to take all of the item.
We stopped at a park so our kids could skate board. The kids were eating their subs. An unhoused very old lady asked the kids if she could have the kids leftovers for her dog. Our kids said looked at me because they know dogs shouldn't have people food. The dog was very hungry, he was staring at the kids Our son remembered we had a bag of dog food that dog didn't like on our last trip. So, he offered the dog food to "Gwen". (not her real name) I offered Gwen a fresh sandwich. We had a nice chat about basic things sitting in the sun. I offered her a sleeping bag, which she took. These moments we all share in life where we can just bring a bit of joy in life. I don't know why Gwen became unhoused and I didn't pry. She simply wanted to sit and enjoy a family. We stayed quite a while until the park started to fill in. People who are unhoused come to the park around 5 p.m. It fills up quick as people are looking for a place to sleep for the night.
