There are days where I need to work inside. It was hot and my husband was being a parlor general. I don't accept direction when I am doing back breaking labor. There are days I miss being a professional woman working outside the home and engaging in wasteful consumerism. Then, I look at the world we have created. My heart softens and I remind my husband not to be so bossy. My workout was very late today. I needed to thaw the chicken for BBQ chicken, I put potatoes in the instant pot for potato salad. I will make a tossed salad too. Our daughter is fussing for cornbread. I may make a skillet of that too. W eare finishing up the school year. I had to deal with some power of attorney issuess with my mother. I was able to get that done in under an hour. Our daughter exclaimed, "Mom, you are so assertive." I am blunt and to the point.
