I was at Safeway this morning very early with my husband. I was in the produce aisle getting some things. A Romanian woman came up to me and told me she had a message for me. I rolled my eyes and said okay. I was thinking here we go. I am a natural skeptic. My husband was heading toward the fish. He came back with his choices, and he saw my already alabaster skin pale further. "I thought fish was okay." He noticed the gypsy-looking woman and assumed she was asking for money. The correct term is Roma, the word gypsy doesn't exist in their language. She had told me that my grandfather who died in a violent death was at peace and his wife knew more than she ever said. In my best-resting face, I said, "Oh really, what was his name." She replied, "Eugene." My husband doesn't see me rattled often. I smiled and thanked her. She told me that she often feels driven to talk to people when she feels called to. She was passing through to go visit family in Oregon. My husband was bemused, "She didn't ask you for anything?" No, not a thing. She hands me a piece of jewelry and walks away. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
