My Christmas quilt from last year sold over the past week! How exciting for a quilt I made to go to its forever home! I was encouraged by a friend to go ahead and start this year's quilt, so I pulled fabric from my stash!
This line is called Christmas Eve by Lella Boutique. I ordered it last year when it seemed like it would sell out quickly. I love the muted greens and darker reds. It's such a classic Christmas line. I was grateful this year to already have fabrics that work together for a Christmas quilt! There is plenty here for more than one quilt, and I just might make more than one this summer!
It's early to be thinking about Christmas quilting, but I don't necessarily work super quick. My plan is to make the quilt using my own pattern, then sell both the quilt and the pattern. I'll need to take good notes and pictures to make that happen! I do have another quilt in line ahead of this one in the queue, so it could be nearer to Christmas before it gets accomplished!
As I pass this fabric pull each day, I think about A Christmas Carol by Dickens. I think about keeping Christmas in my heart each day and celebrating the joy of Jesus! I'm not convinced it's a bad thing to be aware that our Saviour came down to earth to give his life for us and think about it throughout the year!
Wishing you a happy Monday, a day of fresh ideas and beginnings!
Stacy
