Evangelism is something we all can do. There is also some people who are called to be evangelists Ephesians 4 verse 11, but generally evangelism is something we all can do.
We all do the work of an evangelist, when we invite a non Christian friend to church, an outreach meeting, home group, or a Christian social function. Evangelism is sharing The good News in ways that help people come to find Jesus, as their Savior, Redeemer, and Friend.
This can be as easy as conversation with family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances, where we share The Good News about Our Lord and Our Friend.
As well as sharing the gospel through conversation, we can also evangelize through acts of kindness. Our lives should be our witness. The way we live our lives is the best way to convey the presence and work of The Holy Spirit in us.
Let our everyday walk and actions be our strongest display of our evangelism efforts for The Kingdom of God. Isaiah 60 verse 1 and 2:
V1 "Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the Glory of The Lord is risen upon you".
V2 "For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His Glory will be seen upon you". {NKJV}
And Matthew 5 verse 16: "Let your light so shine before men {and women}, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven". {NKJV}
Don't be intimidated when it comes to speaking about Our Lord and Our Friend or sharing from the Bible with others. Sometimes we may feel unworthy or incapable of sharing and evangelizing with others. But we always have the help and the empowerment of The Holy Spirit with us.
God gives us the power, knowledge, confidence, and words we need to be an effect witness, for Jesus. We have all been commissioned to go and witness and evangelize, by the Great Commission {Matthew 28 verse 16 to 20}.
We have The Greatest News that anyone would want to know, let that message envelope all our lives, that we become living, examples of this message we are evangelizing.
Let our Lights so shine, that the Glory from what we do, is given Our Heavenly Father.
God Bless.
O F J.
