Sell things you do not need. Turn into change. Add these to a savings account or put it towards debt.
A long time ago. I had a large amount of debt, and I focused on paying the debt in a year. The first thing I did was have a garage sale. I was able to pay 2 credit cards completely off. I took those payments and applied them to the next card. With every single extra penny, I paid down the debt. At the end of the year, I had paid off all my debts and had built a savings account.
One thing we could learn to do in this country is SHARE. We all have too much stuff. Do we all need to own 10 copies of the same movie in the Neighborhood or tools? Community resources can be shared. We often share tools and vegetables with our neighbors.
Barter when you can. Start simple. I have had good experiences and bad experiences with bartering.
Try a no-spend month, buy the very basics. Learn just how little you can live on.
If overspend, return things you cannot afford.
Delay gratification. Wait 30 days for wants.
Buy your car at the end of a financial quarter. Salesmen have target sakes to make.
Go meatless 2x a week if your health can handle it.
Stop drinking soda.
