Eternal Redemption
Hebrews 9 verse 12 tells us that "Christ came as High Priest – and with His own blood, He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption."
We are eternally secure, firstly because of Father God. John 5:24 "Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed from death into life". Also, Romans 8:15-16 "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out 'Abba Father'. The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God."
We are eternally secure, secondly because of the Son, Jesus Christ. We are double-wrapped in the Father and the Son "your life is hidden with Christ in God" Colossians 3:3. Also, John 10:28-29 "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand." 1 Corinthians 12:27 says "now you are the body of Christ, and members individually." We are now joined to Him, our Lord and Friend, so as to become actual members or parts of His body.
Thirdly, we are eternally secure, because we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13-14 "in Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in Whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory." A seal is proof of ownership; a pledge of intention like a deposit or engagement ring. God sealed us with His Holy Spirit to demonstrate that we are His.
Let's find peace, confidence and rest, secure in the knowledge that in Him we live and move and have our being; and nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.
Grace and peace
