Every day, I learn some new indignity about aging. This time, it's "frozen shoulder." Janine Annett has the details: "I wish I had a cool story about how I hurt my shoulder, like surfing in Hawaii or skiing a challenging and picturesque mountain slope. But I don't even know how to surf or ski. I actually don't even know what DID happen," she writes. "But if you are reading this, over 40 and vague details on how you hurt your shoulder sound a little too familiar, you should see a doctor." Because it's a whole thing, and we've got details.
Our editor-in-chief Kate Auletta recently got a chance to catch up with Jessica Biel about her newest project: A Kids Book About Periods. Apparently, her son was a little confused at first: She told Scary Mommy: "Just a couple of days ago when I had a copy of the book, and he saw my name on the cover, and he goes, 'Oh, you wrote this? This is your book?' I said, 'Yeah. You want to read it?' He was like, 'Yeah.' And he was like, 'I love punctuation. I want to read about punctuation.'" Same, buddy. Plus she explained the epsom salt thing!
