Okay, "Boy Kills World" is a new original fighting film hoping to cash in on all that "John Wick" success. Previews look good and different so why not check it out?
*The MEAT* Typical revenge story here, except that the lead character is a deaf mute with an inner voice done by the guy from "Bob's Burgers" (H. Jon Benjamin). That premise alone puts this movie in a class by itself and adds a lot of good comedy in gruesome, violent situations.
*The PATATOES* Bill Skarsgård is the whole movie and does a memorable job considering his character does not say a word the whole time. His expressions were on point and very humorous. Famke Jansson has a small role here and it's good to see her again, but her character was disappointing.
*The VERDICT* Yes, "Boy Kills World" delivers on the action fight scenes, it also delivers on some twists and turns that the story surprises you with. But for some reason, I feel like the movie was *Missing Something* and I'm not sure what that could have been because the movie was good. I just can't help but feel like it should have been great. So, if you are into fighting films with plenty of gory violence and senseless deaths, you should enjoy this one.
