Since the roof project chaos, tensions have been running high. Last night, I did a long round of anger cleaning. My husband got our daughter going during movie night. For the record, I cannot stand interruptions during movies. I usually watch my movie when I am running so I can enjoy the guilty pleasure. I shut the movie off. I started cleaning the house because I was furious with just about everything.
Our gate is still not fixed. They never showed up last night nor did we get a call. It appears we are getting rain at some point, I am hoping that we do, so that we may see if there is a leak.
Our charming yellow lab with careless parents destroyed 10 garden plots again. He got caught in the barbed wire fence near the raised bed for our green beans. He was howling. This is a skiddy dog, I barely dared to touch him. I secured his muzzle, so he wouldn't bite me. I put on heavy work gloves and I got him untangled. I put him on a leash. He had minor wounds. I also brought my security camera footage. I took him to his home and started to speak to the neighbors. They attempted to blame me for not having my gate closed. I showed them the footage from the camera. I told him of course, I was upset about the gardens, however, the dog was injured. They didn't seem to care about the injuries. Not three hours later, he was in the neighbor's chickens and that didn't fare well. He was brought to the pound, which is probably the best for him. Someone will give him a home.
So, we will be planting the 10 beds again. This is the third time this season. The person who owns the property whose dog owners are so irresponsible told me to send her the bills for the damages. She had heard me loudly telling them to bring the dog to the vet. She asked to see my security footage from the last two weeks. She told me that she is banning pets from the property and that is how I found out about the other neighbor bringing him to pound. I called the pound to let them know how he had gotten hurt. They told me that he would need stitches and they were doing that for him. I am so glad that he is getting care. if I hadn't heard him at 4:30 a.m., he may have been more injured than he was.
So, we are off to the gardening store to buy more plants and seeds.
