I made up a strawberry looking drawstring bag last week whilst sewing strawberry things! I love watching this swap over on Instagram, but I'm not quite bold enough to get involved! Instead, I thought I might sew a couple of strawberry themed things for myself and call it a day!
I came up with a drawstring bag that looks a bit like the strawberry candy wrappers. It was fun to sew! I picked a general size, and then sewed it using a tutorial on Pinterest. Because it's not my original tutorial, I won't be able to share that with you all, but you can find the basic instructions by searching "lined drawstring bag pattern". My one change was to make the outer panel into two different colors/fabrics, which makes it look like a strawberry!
I love a lined drawstring bag, and I've been wanting to learn how for a while now. I'm glad to have found good instructions which showed me the parts I didn't understand before! I was able to make the string out of my green top fabric, so it matches well! I've made smaller drawstring bags with the drawstring at the very top, but I wanted a cuff at the top for this one to resemble the berry!
I'm not sure what I'll use this cutie pie for in the near future. It would be useful for a gift or perhaps for sewing supplies. I'm not willing to give it away, so maybe I need to come up with a plan for its use!
I hope you're feeling creatively inspired today. And I pray that all is well with you all. Happy Monday!
Stacy
