The New Peoplemaking by Virginia Satir, I encountered this book during my MFT program. Virginia Satir premises focus on positivity and lead people away from the crutch of blame. She guides the reader away from the toxicity and reductionist lens of dysfunction. Instead, she focuses on the imperfections of families to teach skills that they haven't learned so that families may grow and learn together. Any book that was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I have always been fascinated with how people can be so cruel and careless with each other. his characters are so carefully crafted that they stay within you. He explores the American dream, romantic idealism, and social class. Dorothy Day: The World Will Saved by Beauty. Dorothy Day had a complicated and interesting life. Her life was messy and full of sin. She became a Catholic. She worked very hard through the publication of The Catholic Worker to help the sick, the poor, and the homeless.
