We have been redeemed, from the curse of the law. Galatians 3 verse 13: "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Cursed is everyone who hung on a tree".
The Apostle Paul's reference to a 'tree' relates to the cross on which Jesus died. By dying on the cross, Jesus Christ bore the curse of the law for us; so that now the believer is no long under the law and awful curse.
1 Peter 2 Verse 24: " He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; by Hi wounding you have been healed:.
We can't live in the world, as though we have been unchanged, or live in the world, in a pattern of someone else's belief.
We need to live in the world, in the image of The One Who created us, and The One Who redeemed us. We were created as individuals, and we need to make an individual commitment of repentance and acceptance, to God's great love for us.
But somehow most find themselves, instead of living in the brightness of His Glory, camouflaging themselves, in the wisdom of the world.
We were all in bondage to the world and the world's system, but like God's people in Egypt, we too came out by the blood of The Lamb.
We become Pilgrims in this world, as ambassadors of His Kingdom, that will have no end, unlike the world and it systems.
The Christian life is down-to-earth, and our everyday relationships. We are reminded in Colossians, 'To Put Off', our old lives, because we belong to God and we should aim to be pleasing to Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, rather than what suits us. Put off, we have been redeemed, for greater things than we can ever imagine.
Did you know the person who kneels before God, can stand before anybody. No one compares to Our Awesome Lord, Redeemer and Friend.
God Bless.
