First we need a seeking heart.
Deuteronomy 4 verse 29: "But from there, you will search for the LORD your God, and you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul."
Hebrews 11 verse 6: "Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him."
It is no good seeking and finding if our lives are not prepared for what we find. Hunger for God compels us to seek the Our Lord and Our Friend through His Word. As His Word puts it 'He is faithful to reward all those who seek for Him.'
Seeking God is different for every person, but consistency is essential. When we get out of bed in the mornings, we should greet the Lord, with what will you use me for today Lord. There should be an expectancy for the day, we are the vessel and The Holy Spirit is the Guiding Force and the Power in our lives.
When I am at home, most times I can be found in my office, surrounded by Bibles and reference books. I have nearly all the translations available, His Word is precious to me, I love to glean from the different flavor of scripture, even going back to the original Hebrew and Greek texts if necessary.
We will never Know all there is to know about God on this side of eternity, because knowledge about Him is too vast for even the biggest and most powerful computer.
Willingness just to know more about Him and His great Love for me and everyone else for that matter.
There is inside me, 'A longing to know Him more'
'A longing to experience Him more.'
' A longing to hear from Him more.'
Which brings about a hunger for Him and a willingness for more of God. Developing a yearning to know more about Our Lord and Our Friend, is more exciting and enjoying, than anything else one can do in their entire lives
The vastness of God consumes me, but I for one will never quit growing and discovering, more of the Great Love and Great Things and Great Purposes our God has for all of us.
Be willing, Be active in pursuing more about Our Lord and Our Friend.
God Bless.
O F J.
