June 1
some sounds are silent
words shouted unuttered
screaming walls
poets' calls
will be heard by
the heart that is open
some songs are voiceless
sing broken lyrics
anthems' tears
unknown by ears
will be felt in
the stillness of hope
some cries made dumb
in the darkness
strangled prayers
muted despair
will be/have been embraced
by the sufferer's gift
hope words cut off
by darkness
will be answered
then by one scourged
tearless tongues will shout
soundless ears unstopped
