Still waiting on that signed contract...
Just a reminder about how Aaron Taylor-Johnson was *this close* to becoming the seventh actor to play James Bond in the film series made by Eon Productions.
You know, how Taylor-Johnson had been offered the role for Bond 26, according to The Sun on March 18. That article caused other media outlets to jump on the Taylor-Johnson bandwagon.
The Daily Mail jumped on March 24 claiming Taylor-Johnson indeed was THE MAN and Eon wasn't considering anybody else. The Daily Mail came back on March 31 claiming Eon was considering Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney to play the female lead in Bond 26.
More than two months later? Nothing to report. Crickets.
Now you might say all of this is like shooting fish in a barrel. And you'd be right. As the blog has said before, British tabloids count on their readers having a short attention spans.
Except, in this case, the March 18 story by The Sun generated segments on British television (such as on Good Morning Britain) debating whether he had the look, etc. to play Bond. Media outlets were taking The Sun very seriously. Perhaps they should not have.
Anything for clicks and ratings, one supposes. This blog has a tendency to remind people about what the tabloids (and others) have said before.
