The Name of The Lord Jesus.
In Acts chapter 3 verse 6; Peter and John used the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, and healed the lame man at the Gate beautiful.
A name, of course, implies much more than identification; it carries authority, reputation, and power.
The name of the Lord Jesus has authority behind it, for He is The Son of God: Matthew 28 verse 18:
"Then Jesus came near and said to them, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth'." Because Hi name is "Above all other names": Philippians 2 Verse 9 to 11: ;
V9: "For this reason God {The Father} also highly exalted Him and gave Him the Name that is above every name".
V10: " So that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow--of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth".
V11: "and every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord".
Jesus is: God, John 1 Verse 1: "In the beginning was The Word, and the Word was with God and The Word was God"
John 1 Verse 14: "The Word became flesh and took up residence among us, We observed His glory, the glory as the 'One and Only Son from the Father"..
He deserves our worship and obedience.
The great concern of the first Christians in Acts Chapters 3 and 4 was that the Name of Jesus Christ, Son of God, be Glorified; believers today should have the same concern.
There is power IN the Name of Jesus and that power is available to all who accept Him as their Lord and Their Savior.
God Bless.
