Attitude toward life gets better with age. A book written in the late 1990s titled Don't Sweat The Small Stuff. The fact is the little things do matter. Attitude towards the little things matters. This morning, our tenant texted me that he was switching the lights on his name TODAY. The service change was to be done a week ago. Keeping your word is a little thing that matters to me. I will remember this lie every time we have an issue with him. There will be issues with him because tenants always have an excuse when they mess. I set the limit with him that this was unacceptable. I didn't engage in the text loop he created. It is the little things in life that informs me who people are. Actions inform me how much I matter to members of my family. It can be small things such as leaving the toilet seat, the cap off the toothpaste, leaving dishes in the sink, or empty drinks cans on the counter.
