I am worried about the future…. This Fourth of July:

What are you most excited about for the future?

The Milgrim Experiment explored why people blindly follow authority for what they perceive to be the greater good and/or project their agendas and biases. People have lost what can happen when one political party or group has too much power. Democracy and common decency are slipping away. Weekly the local paper will print letters from extreme far right and left. Both liberals and conservatives have been leaping off the ledge into extreme ideology. The American people need to be able to sit at the same table and Talk about the issues at hand. I am not ashamed to say that I am conservative and my husband is liberal. We have debates at the dinner table. I have gone to his party's caucus events. I listen and then I speak. The last one I attended a very loud woman said so pretty stupid things through the evening filled with misinformation. I wrote them in my letter to the editor up without identifying her with the correct FACTS, not emotion-based, dark-web B.S. I was walking through the grocery store and she came up to me. Her face was crimson, I was sure that we were going to have words. The redness of her face was chagrin. "It quite a thing to see your words in the Letter to The Editor column completely fact-checked. This woman I will call Marge, we will never agree on anything, but at least she understands now, one cannot run their mouth without knowing the facts.

There are so many small challenges in the country that are overshadowing the greater issues. The world is an unstable place with wars in Ukraine , and the Middle East. It is time to return to our own sandbox and deal with our own bulllies before trying celan up the rest of the world.
