It's exciting to show you a different project I've been working on with my guild members! A few weeks ago, my guild put on a workshop for patriotic quilts for veterans. We had four different block patterns available in various difficulty levels. This was so that each person could participate but also choose how difficult they wanted their blocks for the day! I brought home the granny squares blocks, and the pattern called for 30 of them. I'm modifying the pattern so that we'll only need 20 instead. This pattern is a very good use of scraps, which we all brought to the meeting in specific sizes. We were able to swap around and get some variety, then sew up blocks to our heart's content. It was a fun day, and I'm reminded of our fun as I sew the few remaining blocks needed for a whole quilt. This block takes some concentration and some time, so it's good that I have audiobooks and music as I make the last few. =} I hope you're finding things to keep busy this week. And I pray you are able to stay upbeat and cool enough with the heat waves we're having here in the US! Stacy | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
